Every day, you’ll do something to be proud of if you join us as a Domestic Operative and become an invaluable part of the Patient Support Team, helping us keep our hospital clean.

Responding to changing needs, you’ll go wherever you’re needed most. From wards and operating theatres to offices and clinical departments.

You will be trained in all aspects of cleaning, and will be trained to use specialist equipment.

Good communication and listening skills, together with a compassion for people from all cultures, and being a good team player are all essential requirements.

Permanent contracts are available. Shift times are 12.00-20.00 Monday to Friday

We are also looking for part-time people to work mainly on a Thursday and Friday 16:00-20:00

In return for your hard work and high standards you can expect a starting salary of £15.404 pro rata

Candidates will be expected to undertake literacy and numeracy testing and attend an Assessment Session or interview as part of the application process.

Band 2 payscale: £15,404 - £18157 pa / pro rata (£7.89- £9.31 per hour) for those meeting the full requirements of the post as detailed in the person specification excluding unsocial hours or overtime payments.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
