An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our Reception team on the Intensive Care Unit.

The post will involve working on a busy reception desk. Responsibilities will include admitting and discharging patients, as well as helping relatives and supporting clinical staff in the day to day running of the Unit. A major part of this role will be welcoming visitors to the department.

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, both face to face and on the telephone. The ability to deal with varied administrative duties, IT systems and changing priorities is essential.

This posts can be full or part time, but require flexibility to ensure the Reception area is covered between the hours of 08:00 to 20:00 (Monday to Friday) and 08:00 and 16:00 (Saturday and Sunday and Bank Holidays) to accommodate the needs of the service, and must also be able to provide cover for colleagues.

We recommend and welcome informal visits.
