Rehabilitation Engineer: Wheelchair and Special Seating Service, Bristol Centre for Enablement.
We are looking for an experienced Band 6 Rehabilitation Engineer to join our dynamic team of engineers and technical staff working for North Bristol Trust. This new post will be within The Wheelchair and Special Seating Service and based at The Bristol Centre for Enablement in Cribbs Causeway.
The candidate will need to be registered on the Register for Clinical Technologists as a Rehabilitation Engineer, or the Health and Care Professions Council as a Clinical Scientist, hold an HNC or equivalent minimum, BSc/ BEng or above preferred in a relevant subject such as Rehabilitation Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Relevant experience working in a wheelchair and seating service is essential. The job will require assessment and provision of wheelchairs, accessories and special seating as an individual or within the team.
We are looking for someone who is flexible, dynamic and with a professional friendly attitude. Teamwork with other technical staff and the therapy team is an important element of this role. Also the ability to work alone to problem solve clients requirements. A full driving license is essential. This is a full time post but flexible working and alternative hours may be considered.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
