Clinical Fellow in Urology - Robotic Pelvic Oncology (ST3-ST7+)

The Bristol Urological Institute wishes offer an exciting opportunity to appoint a Clinical Fellow in Urology to commence in April 2019 for a period of 12 months. This post is can be tailored for a junior trainee wishing to enhance their research portfolio or a senior peri-CCT trainee wishing to subspecialise in Robotic Pelvic Oncology. Experience of core urology or advanced urological procedures will be essential for this post depending on level. The post holder will participate in a 1:12 On Call rota, and will be responsible for the day to day management of ward patients.

The post offers excellent exposure to various aspects complex uro-oncology with emphasis on Robotic Pelvic Oncology.

There is plenty of opportunity to participate in the ongoing research and there is an active post-graduate teaching programme. The successful applicant is expected to present in international conferences and publish at least one original paper in a reputable urological journal.

North Bristol NHS Trust has teaching status and is linked with the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England.

It is desirable that candidates have experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices or equivalent.

Overseas applicants are expected to be eligible for registration with the General Medical Council and have passed the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum overall score of 7.5. This must be clearly outlined on their application. Please check the GMC website for details.

Salary range:  £31,217 to £49,086
