Renal and Transplant Support Manager
To manage the admission of elective and non elective patients within the Renal and Transplant directorate, ensuring achievement of access (waiting time) and activity targets, and the delivery of high quality, effective, patient focused services within available resources.
Ensure maximum utilisation of all available capacity and identifying and addressing capacity shortfalls. To record cancellation and utilisation information as required by the Trust and the Directorate.
Co-ordination of renal medical staffing, in conjunction with the lead consultant
Organisation of the various elements involved in providing vascular access operations for dialysis and pre-dialysis patients, including liaison with patients, carers and a wide range of health professionals.
Managerially accountable with line management responsibility for administrative/secretarial staff involved in the delivery of access targets, eg RTT, and Contract Limiters.
Organise, chair and produce reports/minutes of meetings if required in the absence of secretarial support.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
