We would love for you to come and join the Quality Governance Team at North Bristol NHS Trust, as the CQC & Quality Assurance Co-ordinator.  It's a great time to join the team as we are re-looking at everything we do and you can be part of shaping its development and effectiveness!

This role has been developed as part of a restructured team that has responsibility for developing robust systems and assurance mechanisms to support frontline teams in demonstrating high quality care and overseeing the CQC inspection and ongoing engagement processes with the Trust. The team also covers mortality reviews, clinical audit and effectiveness systems/processes and the framework within which clinical policies, guidelines and interventions are developed and approved. 

In this role you will support the CQC & Quality Assurance Lead in developing and administering central systems that facilitate strong quality assurance for care delivery, with a particular focus on IT systems and assurance documentation that underpins our compliance with CQC Fundamental standards. This will include providing systems administration support for the Trust's ward audit system. You will also support the development of created guides, tools and the related intranet site that enables frontline teams to engage effectively with this agenda.

You will have strong skills in data analysis and management, effectively using generic and bespoke IT systems and  excellent administration and time management skills. Ideally you will have a relevant background within a healthcare setting and be comfortable working with a small team but also engaging with professionals at all levels across a large acute hospital.

Over recent years we have had a strong focus on improving our overall approach to quality governance, including two significant trustwide improvement programmes, the second of which is currently in progress. In our most recent CQC inspection in June/July 2019, the CQC told us that they found that “There was a comprehensive and well-designed governance improvement programme resulting from the reviews and other internal priorities that had wide ranging support across the trust as well as amongst leaders." This was one of the key components of the Trust's overall rating of 'Good' and being 'Outstanding' for the well-led domain.
