Band 6 Senior Physiotherapist – Critical care rehabilitation.
Full time – 37.5 hours - permanent.
This is an opportunity to work in a regional Major Trauma Centre to support our 7 day service to deliver Physiotherapeutic rehabilitation to Critical care patients.
Dependent on experience the post sits on a small rotation to gain experience in all areas of major trauma services: critical care, trauma orthopaedics, burns and plastics, neurosurgery and vascular surgery.
Our state of the art new hospital building houses a 42 bed purpose built Critical care unit . You will be supported by 2 very experienced Physiotherapy clinical leads in Critical care with access to clinical leads in all of the major trauma areas and work alongside our Major Trauma wider MDT. There are many CPD opportunities in this field including annual conference and teaching . We have established appraisal and development within the physiotherapy service and In service training programmes at team , Peer band 6 and service wide meetings .
You will be expected to work your contracted hours across a 7 day pattern which will include rostered weekend days. ( 3 per month). This, to maintain our Rehabilitation service to patients across all days.
You should have core rotational experience in acute settings and be competent and confident with respiratory management of the acute patient. You should be on call competent. Experience in major trauma and neuro at senior level is desirable. A passion for this group of patients is essential.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
