We are seeking a motivated individual to join our enthusiastic and friendly team in the Pathology department at Southmead Hospital Bristol. You will be working for the largest NHS Trust in the SW Region that provides medical, surgical and maternity care for a population of approximately half a million people in North Bristol and the surrounding community. The Pathology department is housed in a modern, purpose built laboratory which accommodates all pathology disciplines including the Bristol Genetics Laboratory, a single Bristol Cellular Pathology Service and a combined Microbiology and Health Protection Agency service.

The post holder will be working as part of the Pathology IM&T team based within the Pathology Department, and will be responsible for the support of software, hardware, operating systems, PC applications for laboratory based systems including Pathology LIMS systems.

This successful candidate will need to be able to communicate with all levels of staff within pathology and across the Trust

The post holder would also be expected to participate in the Pathology IT on-call service.
