North Bristol NHS Trust has over 8,000 staff delivering healthcare across Southmead Hospital Bristol, Cossham Hospital, Bristol Centre for Enablement and within the local community of Bristol and South Gloucestershire.  We are a centre of excellence for health care in the South West in a number of fields as well as one of the largest hospital trusts in the UK with an annual turnover of £532 million.

Our aim is to provide our patients with best practice, high quality care and treatment that is comparable to the best in the world.  We want to care for our patients in a safe environment and ensure that everyone has an outstanding experience.

As part of a local healthcare system we need to make the most efficient use of resources and work with partners to continuously improve the way we do things as we know this will lead to a better experience for patients and better clinical outcomes.

We want to be nationally recognised for our specialist services, leading regional provider networks and developing our services through a combination of clinical excellence, research and high quality training.

Our values represent the way we do things and what we stand for.  By embedding these shared values in everything we do we will increase staff engagement, improve outcomes and create a positive experience for our patients.

Our Area

Bristol has again been named as the UK’s most desirable location in the Sunday Times Best Places to Live Guide. Described as “a small city that feels like a big city” it was praised for being “handily placed for seaside and scenery” but “hardly cut off” “cool, classy and supremely creative”

NBT is located in North of Bristol City centre, close to the M4/M5 junction at Almondsbury and Bristol Parkway railway station, we have excellent communication and transport links to all points North, South, East and West – the countryside and the seaside are within an easy commute.

Bristol is consistently voted the best place to live in the UK, with vibrant local music, arts and gastronomic scenes, a wide range of modern and state of the art shopping, recreation and leisure facilities, a wealth of great local family days out, fantastic transport links for local, national and internal holidays, and a rich history. If you prefer country, village or smaller town living, NBT is also easily commutable from a range of attractive locations in North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and South Wales which is now even more attractive since the removal of the toll fees on the Severn Bridges in December 2018.

Closing date: 18th February 2018 –  Interviews will be held on 15th March
