NORTH BRISTOL NHS TRUST CLINICAL FELLOW (ST4+ level) IN NEUROSURGERY SOUTHMEAD HOSPITAL
North Bristol NHS Trust is looking to appoint Clinical Fellows in Neurosurgery (ST4+ Level) to commence August 2018 for a period of 6 months in the first instance. There may be a possibility to extend for a further 6 to 12 months. The Department provides a comprehensive adult neurosurgical service to a population of 2.6 million within the Southwest of England with additional specialist referrals from across the UK and abroad. This is not a training post and does not have Royal College or Post Graduate approval. However, it is educationally sound and well supported. The appointee will benefit from exposure to a wide range of adult neurosurgical conditions including complex sub-specialty experience in spinal, Oncological, skullbase and functional neurosurgery. The annual salary is in accordance the Specialty Registrar Scale (from ST4 level equivalent onwards) as follows (April 2017 rates);
ST4 level £36,675 ST5 level £38,582 ST6 level £40,491 ST7 Level £42,399 ST8 level £44,307
ST9 level (first year) £46,215 ST9 Level (second year) £48,123
A standard working week is 40 hours and this post also attracts a supplement of an additional 50% of the basic salary for working on the out of hours rota up to a weekly average of 48 hours.
