Based in the Brunel Building at Southmead Hospital the Neurology Department is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated and professional Band 3 Medical Secretary to join our busy administrative team.

The successful candidate will have excellent audio typing skills with the ability to prioritise workload depending on the demands of the day.

The ability to work well within a team is a must as well as being able to work on your own initiative. The role involves telephone contact with patients, their families and healthcare professionals from with and outside the Trust.

This position at Band 3 and is offered as a 9 month fixed term contract.

Band 3 payscale: £16,968 - £19,852 pa (£8.70 - £10.18 per hour) for those meeting the full requirements of the post as detailed in the person specification excluding unsocial hours or overtime payments.  

Where this is not the case and training is required for the post the salary will start at £13,896 pa (£7.12 per hour) for the first year then £14,889 pa (£7.63 per hour) excluding unsocial hours or overtime payments.
