SENIOR CLINICAL FELLOW ST3+ IN MOVEMENT DISORDERS NEUROLOGY

Applications are invited for a one year of Movement Disorders Clinical Fellowship to commence in April 2018. North Bristol Trust is a Teaching Trust linked with the University of Bristol. Full registration with the GMC is required. Candidates must have experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices, or equivalent.

This Fellowship is intended to provide the post-holder with specialist knowledge and skills in the field of Movement Disorders Neurology. Applicants should be at ST3 level or above and have an interest in Movement Disorders. This position is based at the Bristol Brain Centre, a dedicated regional facility for Movement Disorders clinical care, research and education. This Fellowship will provide a broad exposure to Movement Disorders clinical care from the point of diagnosis to end stage palliative support. A substantial portion of this position includes the application and management of advanced therapies including Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), intestinal gel Duodopa and Apomorphine pump infusions. Dystonia clinics with botulinum toxin treatment are an integral part of the post. The position will involve a combination of outpatient and in-patient work with some time available for research, audit, education and service development activities. The post holder may be able to contribute to the on-call neurology rotation pending previous background/ experience and service needs.
