12 month Fixed Term.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Neurology Department at Southmead Hospital for an experienced Band 4 Senior Medical Secretary.

To provide efficient and high quality administrative and clerical support to clinician(s), managers and their teams, working in close cooperation with all staff groups and other medical professionals.

The successful candidate will have an extensive secretarial background ideally within the NHS.

Under the direction and guidance of management, you will be responsible for the supervision  of Medical Secretaries and typists, which will include undertaking the annual appraisals, managing annual leave and monitoring workloads within the team.

This is a very busy role which can be pressured. Therefore we are looking for someone who has fantastic organisational skills, works well under pressure, enjoys working with in a team but also has the ability to work independently.
