An exciting opportunity has arisen in our well established sonography team within Antenatal Clinic in Southmead Hospital, Bristol. We are a large maternity unit undertaking approximately 6,300 births per year and are wishing to expand our Obstetric scanning department.
We would expect the successful candidate to be able to perform a wide range of Obstetric scans to include First trimester combined screening and dating scans. Anomaly scans, growths scans and Doppler's.
Any trained staff holding the Msc in Medical Ultrasound minimum PGECert including the Obstetric module who may require updating or refreshing in any of the above scans would be fully supported until competent and confident.
The team is mostly made up of Midwife sonographers but we have several radiographer sonographers too and welcome any sonographers suitably trained. We are a stand alone service and do not rotate our staff through main radiology.
We are a well established training department and successful candidates will be required to support our trainees in post with all the benefits this brings.
We have an expanding fetal medicine department working closely along side us that we liaise with providing support and guidance as required.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
