NORTH BRISTOL NHS TRUST
AVON BREAST SCREENING UNIT
An opportunity has arisen for two Qualified Radiographers interested in Breast Care to join our multi-professional team on a one year fixed term basis. The Avon Breast Screening Unit is based at Southmead Hospital in Bristol, and at the Central Health Clinic, Tower Hill, as well as 2 Mobile Screening Units throughout the catchment area.
We are a friendly team committed to providing a first class service to the ladies of Bristol, Bath and Somerset at both static and mobile units. Additionally we provide cover for the Symptomatic clinics at Southmead Hospital. The department supports skill mix and we employ Assistant Practitioners and Radiographers in role extension. The department is committed to personal and professional development with everyone supported in CPD.
In addition to holding the Diploma of the College of Radiographers or relevant Radiography Degree, you should either hold the recognised Post Graduate Award in Mammography or Certificate of Competence in Mammography from the College of Radiographers.
The ability to work in a multi-professional team is essential, as is a commitment to the provision of a high quality service. You will be rotated through all aspects of breast care work, including screening, assessments, biopsies, mobile work and symptomatic clinics.
You will need to be able to drive and have full driving license.
