The patients cared on Gate 19 will be transferred from any of the wards within the trust to release capacity for emergency admissions.

Applicants will ideally have recent experience in nursing inpatients or have worked in an acute NHS ward. You must be competent to give IV drugs and undertake phlebotomy and be confident in safe decision making and delivering quality care group to a group of patients.  Staff will also be required to participate in nurse led discharge.

Hours:  Monday to Sunday nights inclusive, including bank holidays

1930-800hrs (non- negotiable).

Full or part time posts are available.

There will be two RGNs on duty each night.

These posts are substantive but during the summer months if the escalation facility is not needed staff will be rotated to the Medirooms or other ward areas within the Trust.

Staff will be orientated to the area on day duty for one week at the start of their contract.
