Band 3 Imaging Support Worker Supervisor
The Imaging department are looking for a highly motivated individual to work with the Team Lead and Support Manager in the day to day supervision of the Imaging ISW team.
You will need to be an enthusiastic hardworking individual with a 'can do' attitude with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
The Imaging Support Workers (ISW) is a primarily a clinical role and previous clinical experience is essential. You will be required to work directly with Radiographers and Radiologists covering various modalities including MRI, CT, Plain Film, Nuclear Medicine etc. Although you will mainly be based in the Brunel building but you will be required to work in the satellite hospitals, Cossham, Yate and Clevedon as and when required.
Once competent in all modalities you will be expected to train and induct new staff joining the department and participate in appraisals as well as other supervisory tasks.
Under the supervision of senior staff part of your role will be to highlight any areas that are not adequately staffed and work towards a solution to ensure the service needs are met and patient flow runs smoothly.
The post is 37.5 hours per week you will be expected to participate in the out of hours rota, the ISW provide service between 8.00am – 10.00pm as well as weekends.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
