Nuclear Medicine Radiographer / Technologist Band 6
A Nuclear Medicine Radiographer is required by one of the UK’s largest NHS Hospital Trusts based at North Bristol NHS Trust Imaging Department.
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Radiographer / Technologist to join the Nuclear Medicine team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in the New Brunel Building at Southmead hospital. You will be part of dedicated team of Nuclear Medicine Radiographers, Technologists and Radiologists who last year performed over 5,000 examinations which included Lung, Cardiac, Renal, Neuro, Oncology, Endocrine, GI and Orthopaedic scans.
You will either be a qualified HCPC registered Radiographer or a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist You are required to have completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent qualification specific to Nuclear Medicine. Cannulation skills are a requirement of this position.
As a Nuclear Medicine Radiographer/Technologist you will be required to participate in the daily running of 2 general SPECT and CT / SPECT Gamma Cameras and a dedicated Cardiac Scanner. This is a varied and exciting role and you will be expected to undertake a broad range of clinical duties providing a Nuclear Medicine service for inpatients, outpatients and community based GP referrals.
Routine hours of work will be 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday but ad hoc flexibility may be required. Although there is no On Call commitment with this position extended days may form part of the job description.
Bristol is well served by road, rail air and cycling links making it ideally placed for access to South Wales, the West Country and further afield. Bristol and Bath are also well served with theatre, cinema and leisure facilities.
