We are looking to recruit to an exciting role within the IM&T department as a Technical Support Analyst. This role will have a key part within the ICT Infrastructure team, looking after all North Bristol NHS departments and end users.
As a member of the IM&T (Informatics) team, the post holder will have responsibility for supporting the ICT Network, Servers and Systems in our data centres, in order to deliver and maintain a high quality service. You will be working within an expert team capable of supporting all hosting, storage and communication requirements of the Trust.
Reporting to the Head of ICT Infrastructure, the post holder will be required to support the technical lead on agreed projects with the ICT Data Centres, ensuring the provision of quality ICT Support, using ITIL processes, to deliver new systems and capabilities to meet the current and future requirements of the Trust.
This post holder will create and maintain strong working relationships with all Informatics staff, the Assistant Directors, the Director of Informatics, the Trust Operations team and other teams where required. Other key relationships will include Clinical Directors, General Managers, Heads of Nursing and other senior staff and Clinicians within the organisation.
Candidates interested in applying will have strong all round technical experience, good Microsoft Windows O/S knowledge including Active Directory as well as virtual server experience. Knowledge of telephony, Wi-Fi and telecoms would also be an advantage.
Familiarity of working with Senior Management and Clinical staff, including commissioners, GPs, other organisations.. You will be a strong communicator and will need to show your ability to influence and direct others.
We are looking for a unique individual with extensive knowledge of the challenges presented within the NHS regime both now and for the foreseeable future, and a clear understanding of the wider health sector and how this is likely to impact our services and how we deliver them.
