In order to enable our healthcare services to meet the changing requirements of the health and social care services, North Bristol Trust has formulated a strategy to transform how we use digital technology
As part of the OneNBT Digital Vision, we are delivering an ambitious programme of work with the following aims:
- Improving patient care and patient safety
- Empowering professionals and patients through effective information exchange
- Using digital technology to enable the wider Trust transformation agenda
- Laying the foundations of an effective and integrated health informatics infrastructure in the BNSSG STP (sustainability and transformation partnership)
This role is a great opportunity for a practising clinician, with a current registration with a professional body, to support safe use of digital health applications within NBT and across the wider health and social care community, initially as part of the Electronic Patient Record replacement programme with a possibility of transferring to a permanent and wider role in the digital transformation of NBT in the future.
Enthusiasm for healthcare quality improvement, patient safety and business change is essential, as well as experience and training in clinical risk management and a basic understanding of information governance.
The ideal candidate will be a strong team member and communicator who can initiate and maintain operational processes and documentation relating to safe use of digital technology. They will need to confidently engage with a range of stakeholders to promote a collaborative approach to better use of technology and data for the benefit of the patients in line with trust and NHS values.
The role will require the individual to use standards DCB 0129 and DCB 0160 to assess clinical IT products and determine their acceptability and safety to go live.
