Local Maternity System Project (Digital)

Across Bristol North Somerset and South Gloucester (BNSSG) there is a strong strategic focus on convergence of digital systems.

The BNSSG Local Maternity System was formed as a result of the Better Birth report, which makes recommendations to improve the maternity service across our health care system, with a clear vision to become safer; where every woman has access to her information to enable her to make decisions about her care.

The aim is to implement a single digital maternity system across the 2 BNSSG acute Trust's (LMS).

Successful implementation of the plan will require the commitment and active engagement of clinical staff working at the front-line as well as those in positions of clinical and managerial leadership; the project managers role is pivotal in making this happen.    It requires a can-do approach which over comes traditional organisational and cultural barriers.

The programme has challenging targets but by ensuring the vision of a single, seamless, digital maternity system within BNSSG remains constant and drives the changes we need to make.

This is an exciting time to join North Bristol NHS Trust in driving this ambitious programme, working collaboratively with other System providers as well as University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW).

Experience of leading System wide change is essential as well as experience in developing relationships across local communities.

It would be beneficial for the ideal candidate to have delivered a system change within a Healthcare organisation.

This role would suit someone who has a passion for Digital Transformation / Digital Change across multiple organisations.
