Maintenance Assistant Required.

North Bristol Trust are looking to recruit a Maintenance Assistant working with Southmead Hospital.

The duties will include:-

To assist in the safe, cost-effective operation and maintenance of the Trust’s plant, equipment and distribution services, in order to meet current legislative, Health Service and approved codes of practice requirements.

This responsibility extends to third party organisations that the Trust has agreed to provide a service to, under the terms of a SLA (Service Level Agreement)

The post holder will be required to work in a number of different environments. These will vary from the relative comfort of a workshop environment to the cramped and often damp service ducts to the noisy stand by generator plant rooms.

Tasks will also vary from work shop based work to physically demanding work in less than ideal conditions, in plant rooms and service areas. Visits to wards, theatres and other clinical and non clinical areas will be frequent.

There will also be the necessity to periodically work out of doors at the relative mercy of the weather at that particular time. Periodic out of normal working hours will be required.
