Mechanical Fitter / Plummer


North Bristol Trust are looking at are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Fitter Plumber to join their Maintenance Team. We are looking for someone with at least two years post qualification experience. The Estates Team is based at Southmead Hospital but we maintain properties in Thornbury, South Bristol and Cribbs Causeway, therefore a driving license is essential.

The post is a Band 4 position and there will be an added allowance for being         part of the ‘on call’ rota. Limited overtime is available.

Hours of work:- Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs. (07:30 to 15:30)

On-call:- This is on a rota basis to cover evenings and weekends as required.

Job Summary :-

The Estates Department provides a critical service to the Trust, Estates directly impacts on frontline clinical care, cutting edge research, infection prevention and control and efficiency and sustainability across the Trust.

The effectiveness of the Estates service is governed by the skills, experience, professionalism, productivity and attitude of the Estates staff.

The post holder must conduct their behaviour at all times in a professional manner and consistent with Trust Values. The post holder will take full ownership of the role and responsibilities of the post as detailed in the Job Description and Person Specification. The successful candidate will assist in the safe, cost-effective operation and maintenance of the Trust’s plant, equipment and distribution services, in order to meet current legislative, Health Service and approved codes of practice requirements. This responsibility extends to third party organisations that the Trust has agreed to provide a service to, under the terms of an SLA (Service Level Agreement)
