We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Senior Staff Nurse.

Are you highly motivated, enthusiastic and forward thinking? Do you have excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate nursing staff to provide high quality patient focused care? Are you committed to the care of older people? If so we could have the perfect job for you! We are the biggest short stay frailty unit in the South West and surrounding areas.  We are experts in frailty, dementia, complex discharge planning, end of life care and multi-disciplinary team working.  We are the best performing ward for discharges within medicine.

The Complex Assessment Unit (Gate 32a) is a fast paced acute unit and works closely with the CALS team and Acute Medical Unit. Patients are transferred from the AMU and direct from the Emergency Department.

The successful candidate will be an experienced nurse with the vision and passion to help deliver high quality patient care. Being a good team player they will work with the Ward Manager, Matron, Senior Nurses & Directorate Management Team to help foster good communication and improved processes to enhance the patient pathway. This is a demanding but very rewarding role within a Trust that is committed to the ongoing development of its staff.

Some knowledge of acute medicine would be an advantage however the opportunity to expand your knowledge will also be available.
