The Carbon and Energy Manager will join North Bristol Trust at an exciting time, having just declared a climate emergency and committed to achieving a zero carbon goal by 2030 in line with Bristol’s One City Plan.

Whilst not essential, this person will ideally come from an NHS background and will be able to display the following attributes:

  • Self-motivation
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • A desire to embed new ways of working and a new asset management and compliance culture within the department
  • Coach, mentor and lead staff within the directorate to follow new processes and ways of working
  • Strong report writing capabilities

Accountabilities:

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the use of energy and utilities is managed effectively and efficiently to meet key operational requirements including procurement, contract management, reporting, compliance and legislation. The post holder will lead the strategic development and delivery of carbon and energy solutions to meet the Trust’s ambition to be carbon zero by 2030.
