Specialty Doctor in Dementia Research

(Neurologist, General Practice, Care of the Elderly or other related discipline)


The Neurology Department of North Bristol NHS Trust is looking to appoint a part time Speciality doctor in Dementia Research. The successful applicant will join a Team of 3 Consultant Neurologists with dementia interest as well as a dementia research group including specialist dementia research nurses. We are looking with someone keen to be part of a flourishing dementia research group and committed to delivering a dementia research portfolio.


The Department of Neurology is a part of the Regional Neurosciences Centre and the Bristol BRAIN centre is a regional hub for neuroscience research. There is a regional secondary and tertiary dementia research clinical service also based in the brain centre. The ReMemBr Dementia research group run a portfolio of commercial and academic clinical trials, both interventional and observational.


Applicants are required either to have completed four years of postgraduate training at least two of which need to have been in an appropriate speciality.
