Decontamination Technician Band 2
2 x Post one - Tuesday to Saturday 14.00 -22.00
2 x Post two - Sunday to Thursday 14.00-22.00
1 x Monday to Friday 06.00-14.00
Are you interested in joining a world class Decontamination Facilities to provide a safe and high quality decontamination service to all our Service Users at North Bristol NHS Trust?
Are you interested in developing your knowledge and skills in the decontamination and sterilisation of surgical instruments?
The Decontamination Technician is responsible for providing effective, safe and efficient collection, decontamination (manual cleaning, disinfection and sterilization) and distribution of re-usable medical devices including flexible endoscopes for use in direct patient care.
Applicants must have a good standard of general education, excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Experience of working within a Sterile Services environment is desirable. A proven ability to manage and prioritise own workload and that of others in a fast paced customer focused environment would be an advantage.
The unit is currently open 24 hours a day 7 days a week and supports the regional trauma Centre. We are a large friendly team with a commitment to high standards and meeting the needs of our customers in this critical area.
