Owing to a maternity leave, we are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our stroke inpatient team for 12 months. Some experience of working within stroke or neurosciences preferable, although those with transferable skills will also be considered.  Services provided by the wider multi-disciplinary team include regional thrombectomy, thrombolysis, hyper-acute/ acute stroke care and  rehabilitation, with close inter professional collaboration throughout the clinical pathway.

There is plenty of peer and senior support in this large friendly team, which is part of the wider occupational therapy service at North Bristol, a large teaching trust that provides a number of specialist regional services.  Regular placements are provided for undergraduate students and the roles may also include supervision of junior and support staff.

Development opportunities and training are available to facilitate your CPD, with quality improvement projects and service development ideas actively encouraged.

The services are based within the award winning Brunel building at Southmead Hospital which has excellent facilities. The wards have 75% single rooms, which are equipped with overhead tracking hoists and private bathrooms. Staff are also well catered for with benefits including award schemes for excellence, a staff restaurant with roof terrace, cycle centre, green spaces and wellbeing support.

Roster patterns include regular weekend working to enhance services provided across the week. Prospective candidates are welcome to seek further information prior to application.
