Band 4: £20,150 to £23,363 per annum pro rata
Band 5: £23,023 to £29,608 per annum pro rata

Full time post: 37.5 hours per week plus inclusion on the weekend and Bank Holiday rota.

An enthusiastic and motivated pharmacy technician is required to join our established medicines management team. You will be responsible for the provision of a ward based service together with the ward pharmacist. This will entail the assessment of Patients Own Drugs (PODs), medication history taking, clinical prioritisation, the provision of one-stop supplies, self-medication scheme, patient counselling and ward based discharges.

You must have excellent communication and organisational skills, a BTEC / NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy services or equivalent is essential and registered with the General Pharmacy Council (GPHc).

For those technicians not already accredited for the South West Medicines Optimisation training programme and Accredited Checking Technician the post will be on a Band 4 pay scale. Training will be provided and on successful completion you will progress to Band 5.

We will consider applicants looking for part time hour in excess of 0.5 whole time equivalent.
