Pharmacy Technician - Dispensary Services Band 5
The Pharmacy Department at North Bristol NHS Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our dispensary team.
The role blends the best of both worlds; a proportion of your time will be spent on the wards as part of our Medicines Management team providing high quality patient-focused care; the rest of your time will be spent in the dispensary providing an efficient and effective pharmacy service.
The main duties in the dispensary will be:
To assist the Dispensary Manager and Assistant Dispensary Managers in the smooth running of the dispensary service to ensure a safe, effective and timely service in accordance with current legislation and guidance.
To dispense and final accuracy check prescriptions
Assist in the management of dispensary staff by participating in the recruitment, induction and training process.
This is an ideal opportunity that will allow the post holder to develop their personal skills for future management.
Applicants must be a Pharmacy Technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have evidence of continuing professional development. They should ideally be an ACPT and have significant experience in hospital or community pharmacy .You will need to have excellent communication skills, well organised and able to work effectively alone and as part of a team.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
