Registered Nurse- Medicine- Band 6- Up to £35K, North Bristol

The opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Registered Nurse, that is enthusiastic motivated, and well organised to join the team.

Elgar is a large reablement unit offering transitional care, and managing complex discharge ward within Southmead Hospital in North Bristol.

THE ROLE- As a Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in leading a team of nursing staff in the delivery of evidence based patient-centered care. Key duties will include:

  •  Providing leadership to a group of staff and manage a patient caseload.
  •  Establishing and maintaining relationships with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, communicating effectively both verbally and in writing to those who contribute to the service
  • Will have responsibility for the day-to-day management issues relating to all aspects of ongoing patient care and ward management in the absence of a ward sister or Modern Matron

 

YOU: The successful candidate for this Registered Nurse vacancy will have the following:

  •  Registered nurse with current NMC registration
  •  Good interpersonal skills with all members of the multidisciplinary team, patients, relatives and visitors to the ward
  •  Knowledge and experience in staff development; including individual performance and training
