Fixed Term Consultant in Haematology
(Full Time - Fixed term contract 12 months)
Applications are invited for a full time Consultant Haematology post - maternity leave cover - at North Bristol Trust. This post will work with the existing team of 4 Consultant Haematologists providing general clinical and laboratory service to the North Bristol area. General experience in malignant and non-malignant Haematology is essential. The Haematology department is based at Southmead Hospital. There is an active Haematology Day Unit with designated Haematology inpatient beds and close links exist with the team based at the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre.
Applicants are required to be on the Specialist Register for Haematology, have CCT in Haematology or be within six months of obtaining it by the interview date. Full Registration with the GMC is essential. The post is based at Southmead Hospital. The Trust has teaching status and is linked with the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England. The appointee will be required to reside not more than 30 minutes travel by road from Southmead Hospital, Bristol, for on-call purposes. Experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices or equivalent is essential.
