Applications are invited from motivated and enthusiastic individuals to fill our band 4 Associate Practitioner post in Clinical Biochemistry.

The department provides a routine biochemistry testing service to all inpatient, outpatient and GP surgeries in the North Bristol area. It has a workload of over 1 million specimen requests per annum.

The successful candidate will initially be working in the automated laboratory, but will also have the opportunity to work in other sections of the department including Toxicology, Newborn Screening, Biochemical Genetics and Point of care Testing.

The post holder will be expected to participate in the department’s 24/7 service in a 6 monthly rolling rotation; 6 months night shift in Auto Lab, followed by 6 months in one of the sections listed above.
