Applications are invited from enthusiastic, adaptable individuals who would enjoy working as part of a friendly team providing the Cellular Pathology service in this busy department. You will be involved in a range of tasks including data-entry and general office duties. Importantly, you will be involved with the collation of material for multidisciplinary meetings, which is a vital interface between the work of this department and its involvement in patient care.
For this varied and interesting post, you will need to be numerate and literate, be able to work as part of a team, be able to demonstrate adaptability and initiative and have good communication and organisational skills. Applicants are required to have keyboard skills and, while previous laboratory or office experience would be an advantage, it is not essential as full training will be provided.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
