North Bristol NHS Trust are looking for enthusiastic Band 7 Cardiac Physiologists to join their expanding team. Applicants will hold BSE Accreditation and will be an independent practitioner in echo.
Ability to support cath lab procedures including device implantation and follow up is highly desirable.
The applicants will also be involved in training and mentoring of junior clinical physiologists and will have some management responsibilities in discussion with the Cardiac Physiology Manager.
We are a team of 24 physiologists and cardiographers, we are committed to staff development, training and getting a good work balance in all aspects of Cardiac Physiology. We work closely with the University of the West of England and engagement with training and projects outside of the department are actively encouraged.
We implant and follow up pacemakers and ICDs, have a PCI and cath lab service, run a physiologist-led loop implant service and are a centre of excellence in physiologist-led myocardial perfusion scans. The echo department has 6 BSE accredited physiologists as well as staff working towards BSE. We have applied for departmental accreditation which we are aiming to achieve by the end of 2020. With the increase in Consultant Cardiologists with an interest in Cardiac Imaging we are looking to expand physiologist led services to include stress echo
Based at the brand new Brunel Building, this is a dynamic and forward-thinking department who want to attract the best Physiologists in the region.
We are looking for 37.5 hours per week over 4 days, 08:00 - 18:00 but would consider part-time applications.
You will be based at our state-of-the art £450m Southmead Hospital with a basic salary £37,570 - £43,772 (Band 7) dependent on experience, plus excellent NHS benefits.
