Bank Portering Operative

Exciting opportunities are available to work as a Bank Portering Operative within our Patient Support Teams based at Southmead Hospital through our in House Bank - NBT eXtra

The primary function is the movement of patients, consumable products, waste, furniture, medical equipment, gasses, beds, mattresses. To provide a high quality responsive, efficient and effective patient support service to wards, and departments in North Bristol NHS Trust acting in a caring and professional manner

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate basic literacy, numeracy skills, interpersonal skills, and being a good team player are also essential requirements. An understanding of Hospital Portering services activities is desirable, however, full training will be provided.

The Portering Operative role is Band 2, £8.67 per hour including A/L payments. Enhancements are paid for staff that work unsocial hours.
