Exciting Development Opportunity for Registered Nurses
• Are you a Registered Nurse with a background in Critical Care who is looking for a new challenge?
• Would you be interested in undertaking a fully accredited university module with supported practice placements and all module fees paid?
• Would you like to achieve a nationally recognised qualification that would allow you to work as an Anaesthetic Assistant in the Operating Department?
An outstanding opportunity is available for Registered Nurses with experience of working in Theatres / Interventional Radiology / Emergency Department / ICU / HDU or other acute care settings to undertake a 30 credit / level 6 Advanced Anaesthetic Practice Module. The module is provided by Oxford Brookes University in partnership with key Bristol hospitals and will be delivered at North Bristol NHS Trust. Successful completion of the module will lead to a qualification recognised by the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland and the Health and Care Professions Council.
On completion of the module you will become an Anaesthetic Assistant in Team Theatres at NBT and will undertake a period of supervised practice, during which time you will consolidate your knowledge and skills. Following consolidation, you will become an independent member of the Anaesthetic Assistant team and will undertake a full range of duties including out of hours, and night shifts.
This is a fixed term opportunity for a period of one year, including the time undertaking the module, following which you will be able to apply for a permanent post.
The module commences in March 2018
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
