Improvement Programme Manager (Grade 8a)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manager to join the Programme Management Office (PMO) team at North Bristol NHS Trust. If you are a seasoned practitioner in the management of multiple programmes of work and have strong communication and influencing skills then this could be the role for you and we would strongly encourage you to apply. A good understanding of financial management and reporting is essential and it would be desirable for you to have a qualification such as PRINCE2 or Managing Successful Programmes to support your application.

The successful post holder will be responsible for managing a number of work programmes in order to deliver financial savings whilst maintaining service quality. The post holder will be a key contributing member of the PMO in delivering a central role to drive, support and report on the delivery of financial and quality improvements, both across the Trust and within specific Divisional and Corporate areas.

North Bristol NHS Trust is a progressive and ambitious teaching and research organisation, and a specialist regional centre for major trauma, neurosciences, plastics and burns, orthopaedics and renal services. With a turnover of £550m and 9,000 staff, our clinical teams have built a strong reputation for exceptional healthcare, personally delivered. We are delivering major programmes of change in order to address both short term and long term financial and operational challenges.

We are working together to create the environment for exceptional healthcare – our acute services moved into the brand new, £430 million state of the art Brunel Building four years ago, in May 2014. This 850-bed hospital at the Southmead site offers patients single rooms with en-suite facilities, greatly improving privacy and dignity and helping to control the spread of infections. At the heart of what we do is a caring and compassionate workforce and we are currently undergoing one of the largest transformation programmes in the NHS.

Interviews will be held on Friday 22nd June
