WARD MANAGER – Band 7- Medicine Division, Up to £41K + NHS Benefits

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Ward Manager on Gate 9a.

We are looking for a new dynamic leader with substantial experience as a Registered Nurse with experience and a special interest in medicine to join the senior leadership team within the medical division.

You will be responsible for promoting a high standard of evidence based nursing care and multi-disciplinary working. You will be expected to adopt a team approach to problem-solving and therefore excellent communication, management and organisational skills are essential.

A strong approach to team working is vital for this role and you must be a highly motivated forward-thinking professional who can demonstrate the ability to lead and support staff in a proactive and effective way. Working closely with the Matron, Directorate Senior Management and Allied Health Professionals you will be expected to play a key role in the management and strategic development of the ward.

The successful applicant must also be able to demonstrate substantial experience at a senior level usually gained at Band 6 working in a medical ward setting. Evidence of professional development is essential to the post.
